Running, walking, bicycling, tennis, basketball, ballroom dancing, tap, swimming, yoga, gardening – it’s all good. Regular exercise and physical activity is the road to health and well-being. Exercise activates the immune system to expel toxins from the body, toxins that can cause any sickness.
The immune system has no pump - it needs you to exercise your body to throw out the disease building garbage. Exercise burns fat, builds muscle, lowers cholesterol, eases stress and anxiety, lets you sleep restfully.
In this blog you'll find also that part of the information that is often forgotten.
click: How to boost your immune system : Harvard Health - Harvard University
(study well every link - you need the information - we all do)
This blog article will guide you to avoid some pitfalls relating to physical exercise.
(1) Exercise,
(2) a healthy diet and
(3) good sleep
can protect the body against the negative effects of stress and slow down the aging process at a cellular level, researchers report.
The first research article referred to is about recreational exerciser, competing endurance athletes, marathon & long-distance runners - the life-saving information is important for everyone in these groups. That's you and me.
Exercising summer time outside can cause the body overheat; on the other hand, doing winter exercises outside has the challenges of the cold. The winter challenges
are handled in a separate blog article.
However, every season has one thing in common: the human body can get overheated, even in wintertime. A heat stroke can happen in any season - that can become a life-threatening situation. In this blog article warm-up & cool-down instructions are also given.
E.g., the endurance runners are far more likely to die of heat stroke than of an undetected heart condition, according to a new study.
Before you start any new physical exercise, talk to your primary care physician about your plan details and have your doctor doing a good health check-up to avoid negative surprises. The more your doctor will know about your plans, the safer it all will get for you. Depending on your health situation your doctor may guide to eliminate some plan details.
Back to the research
The researchers pointed out that endurance athletes participating in events in warm climates are actually 10 times more likely to develop severe and life-threatening heat stroke. Yet, the less common sudden death of a young and apparently healthy person due to undetected heart problems, such as an irregular heartbeat, often gets a lot more media attention.
"This research shows that a heat stroke is a real threat to marathon and long-distance runners; however, there are no clinical studies of potential strategies to prevent heat stroke during these types of events," senior study author Dr. Sami Viskin, a cardiologist at Tel Aviv Medical Center in Israel, said in a news release from the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

You need to know about Long QT Syndrome and some other facts relating to the topics of this article -
study next below the internet links in the
numerical order :
(1)
Long QT Syndrome
More than 50 medications, many of them common, can lengthen the Q-T interval in otherwise healthy people and cause a form of acquired long QT syndrome known as drug-induced long QT syndrome.
Medications that can lengthen the Q-T interval and upset heart rhythm include certain antibiotics, antidepressants, antihistamines, diuretics, heart medications, cholesterol-lowering drugs, diabetes medications, as well as some antifungal and antipsychotic drugs.
List of drugs to avoid below.
There are other reasons - click green "causes" below on the next line:

______ Then continue from here:
"It's important that clinicians educate runners on the ways to minimize their risk of heat stroke, including (1) allowing 10 to 14 days to adjust to a warm climate, (2) discouraging running if a person is ill or was recently ill, because a pre-existing fever impairs the body's ability to dissipate additional heat stress, and (3) developing better methods of monitoring body core temperature during physical activity," Viskin said.
Races longer than 6.2 miles have become increasingly popular among endurance athletes. To assess the greatest health risks associated with these types of events, the researchers analyzed information compiled on all death and hospitalizations that occurred at 14 long-distance races in Tel Aviv between March 2007 and November 2013.
Out of nearly 140,000 runners, only two serious heart-related events were reported during the study period. None of these were life-threatening. The researchers found however, that 21 people developed heat stroke. Of these cases, two were fatal and 12 were considered life-threatening.

Importance of a Warm-Up and a Cool-Down
When time is tight and you have to squeeze in a workout, the first portions that usually get omitted are your warm-up or cool-down,
but both are essential to a good workout.
Follow these tips and learn to efficiently incorporate warm-ups and cool-downs into your regular exercise.
Always warm up before you exercise
A warm-up doesn’t necessarily mean stretching (save that for after).
It means: a lower intensity version of the physical activity you are about to do. The greater your intensity of workout, the longer the warm-up should be.
A good indication of an adequate warm-up is a light sweat.
Warm-Ups…
- Help get your blood circulating and lubricate your joints
- Increase delivery of oxygen and nutrients to your muscles, which prevents you from getting out of breath early or too easily
- Prepare your heart for activity, helping you to avoid a rapid increase in blood pressure
A proper cool-down will help your heart rate gradually return to normal and lengthen the muscles to prevent injury. The first part of a good cool-down is gradually slowing your intensity for several minutes. The second part of is stretching. The best time to stretch is right after your initial slow-down since your muscles are still warm and are more likely to react favorably. Try holding stretches for at least 20 seconds.
Cool-Downs…
- Help your heart rate and breathing return to normal at a gradual pace
- Help avoid fainting or dizziness, which can result from blood pooling in the large muscles of the legs when vigorous activity is stopped suddenly
- Reduce the immediate post-exercise tendency for muscle spasm, cramping and stiffness
The Human Breathing Rate
The usual breathing rate in an adult is 12 to 16 breaths per minute at rest. However, fever, illness or other medical conditions often affect the respiratory rate.
The respiratory rate of infants and children is different from that of an adult. Infants aged newborn to 6 months breathe on average 30 to 60 times per minute, while the usual rate per minute for infants aged 6 months to 1 year is 24 to 30 breaths. The normal respiratory rate for children 1 to 5 years of age is 20 to 30 times per minute, and for children 6 to 12 years it is 12 to 20, slightly faster than an adult. As with adults, various things may affect a child's rate of breathing. For example, fever, exertion, abdominal distension, heart problems, anemia and a number of other issues may cause rapid breathing (tachypnea), according to the Family Practice Notebook.

-not-for-profit-
& by Dr. Christian von Christophers, Ph.D., N.D., D.D.
_____________
This info will save nationwide/worldwide trillions in health care costs
This info will save YOUR health and save YOUR money
America & everyone worldwide must learn the #1 skill:
Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition
Avoid big food bills, big bellies & big sickness costs
That's like a free health insurance and better
Quotation:
"To stay healthy you need to eat what your body wants,
not what you want"
(Dr. Christian, STAF, Inc.)
STAF, Inc. has developed a new Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition Program for the U.S. government's & for every nation's use worldwide.
Totally it took 26 years to develop, first 19 years worldwide research & 7 years to modify it for everyone's needs. This program covers, for the first time ever, all necessary elements to get the lasting results in all family related challenges & in our rampant obesity, overweight & sickness levels. Its nutritional program leading to health & to a longer life is at the same time an automatic weight loss program: nothing to buy, no calories to count, no unreasonable portion control - eat as needed; just follow the easy instructions.
The best news is this: the correct, health-restoring & health-maintaining food with all necessary daily nutrients in the correct combination
costs ONLY about $95 per one (adult) person monthly.
The new STAF Plan guides you to buy your food ingredients in your local supermarket & prepare your food in your own kitchen based on the new, delicious recipes.
The bigger the family, the less $ per/person. Only a plan everyone can afford is a solution to the world's health challenges.
Your food expenses, time being, are probably many times more than in this new STAF, Inc.'s results bringing program. Everyone can afford this amazing program whether one works on the minimum salary or lives on the social security or similar.
The saved money this new STAF, Inc. program guides you to place in safe investments - STAF, Inc. endorses only a few investment adviser companies as reliable. With the saved money your family can create substantial wealth within time.
Also a millionaire?
STAF, Inc.has 10 private services given a unique lifetime result-guarantee with only a one-time fee - see website.
(1) The STAF Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition Plan is
the most economical plan
in the U.S. and worldwide (only about $95 a month per one adult).
Yet, the STAF Plan provides all nutrients any human needs in a correct, healthy, delicious manner and in fully correct proportions.
A healthy lifestyle & correct nutrition plan is good only if everyone working or getting government benefits can afford the plan. Most diet plans are so costly that those people who most need a result-bringing plan cannot afford following the plan. What good is that? Everyone working or getting the government benefits will and CAN afford following The STAF Plan because it will cost the least, much less than any other plan.
(2) Not only is the STAF Plan the most affordable but the STAF Plan has financial benefits embedded in its guidance.
In most families the food costs are (much) more than the new STAF Plan demands. The plan will guide to invest the saved money thus leading to a improved family economy - potentially also a millionaire level (not a joke, a fact).
No other plan does that. In STAF, Inc.'s website additional information relating to the investment program.)
(3) In addition to providing all healthy lifestyle & correct nutrition guidance the
STAF PLAN covers, for the first time ever, all necessary elements in strengthening the marriage & other family ties, in successful child raising, in teen age challenges and in other happy family related topics.
The STAF Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition program covers all factors needed for a healthy & a happy family life.
The new STAF Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition program will,
in a televised D.C. event, be introduced worldwide &
to The W.H., The President, The U.S. Congress & Senate.
STAF, Inc.'s presence is needed in D.C. in the U.S. Congress (House & Senate).
STAF, Inc.'s founding President is planning (1) to seek a seat in D.C. Congress/Senate to provide the necessary information to the D.C. lawmakers and (2) to establish a new federal agency, Healthy Lifestyle & Family Success Agency & to be named its first federal director. New legislation & training for all these matters are needed in a results-bringing manner.

Two bonus articles about walking & running and the related health benefits
Article (1)
Running for Life
Running just five to ten minutes a day can help extend your life, new research suggests - that's because your body & mind gets stronger and your health will improve.
The human immune system eliminates the harmful toxins from our cells and body. However, it has no pump to push the toxins out. It needs your effort to move your
Running outside these 5 - 10 minutes the first thing in the mornings will make an improvement in your physical & mental/emotional health and will give a good start for your day and for your work. You will be more creative, make more money, have better love relationship & experience more enjoyable sex.
Run with your spouse and with your children - your family union gets stronger.
In the evening, just before the bed time take, as a whole family together, a brief
15-min. walk outside and discuss your family topics or just enjoy the togetherness.
If you are new to running, an easy rule for breathing: while walking or running, focus on your breathing IN, breathing out is easy and "automatic". When you concentrate on effective in-breathing, you will not easily get exhausted & tired and you will then enjoy your running much more. Change your running & walking speed and take now and then fast, fast, fast sprints (= run at full speed over a short distance).
Apply these slow and fast sprints - its and effective
method to train your system.
Avoid running on the hard city street/walkway - run on a softer surface in a park or in a more natural area with trees & other vegetation - then you breathe better air and get more oxygen. The city streets are polluted and full of harmful traffic poisons.
Trees and vegetation (= land, river, lake & ocean vegetation) create us the oxygen we need to live. Of course, we human pollute all those sources - is that a slow suicide for the mankind?Notice:
Half of the world's oxygen is produced via phytoplankton photosynthesis. The other half is produced via photosynthesis on land by trees, shrubs, grasses, and other plants.

When running, every time your foot hits the ground it's a 400 lbs hit on your knees.
Be aware of this fact, That's a heave hit- 400 lbs.
Walking is safer, no heavy hits!
Run on a soft surface.
Use safe running shoes - talk to your sports doctor or podiatrist (= foot dr) to find out what shoes to use for running and what for longer walking and what on what surface. In addition to the morning running start walking (do not drive to the corner store, walk) everywhere as much as you just can, daily - it adds up. When time allows walk everywhere. A good way to add health-creating and health-maintaining steps. Aim to get at least 25 000 steps every day.
Use a pedometer(click:Pedometer).
Back to the original running research:
But regardless of gender, weight, age, or smoking status those who ran faced a 30% lower risk for death due to any cause.
Runners/walkers also saw their risk for death due to cardiovascular disease drop by 45% and outlived non-runners by 3 years. And while those who had been running the longest saw the biggest benefit those who ran slowly and infrequently also extended their longevity.
In fact, the researchers reported that the risk for death dropped just as much among those who ran for less than 1 hour a week as it did among those who ran more than 3.

Running & Walking Will Add Years to Your Lifespan
- Just 5 to 10 minutes a day seems to bring benefits, study say
Running is a vigorous-intensity activity, thus it is recommended that inactive people can start walking to reduce injury risk before they start running.
Buy a pedometer (click: Pedometer) and start walking as much as you can - 25 000 steps daily is a good number for
Runners & walkers live longer than people who don't run & walk, according to new research.
But, the best news from this study is that it appears that you can reap this benefit even if you +at slow speeds for mere minutes every day, the 15-year study suggests.
"People may not need to run a lot to get health benefits," said lead author Duck-chul Lee, an assistant professor of kinesiology at Iowa State University. "I hope this study can motivate more people to start running and to continue running as an attainable health goal."
It's not clear from the study whether the longer lifespan is directly caused by running. The researchers were only able to prove a strong link between running and living longer. There could be other reasons that runners live longer. It could be that healthy people are the ones who choose to run, noted the study's authors. The investigators did try to control the data to account for such factors though.
Current U.S. guidelines for physical activity call for a minimum of 75 minutes per week of running or other vigorous-intensity aerobic activity, or 30 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise most days of the week.
But people who exercised less than that still received significant health benefits, according to the new research.
Running modest amounts each week -- less than 51 minutes, fewer than 6 miles, slower than 6 miles per hour, or only one to two times -- was still associated with solid health benefits compared to no running, the researchers reported in the Aug. 5 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
The study also suggested that you can have too much of a good thing. People who regularly ran less than an hour per week reduced their risk of death just as much as runners who logged three hours or more weekly.
The study involved more than 55,000 adults aged 18 to 100, who were followed during a 15-year period to determine whether there is a relationship between running and longevity. About one quarter of this group were runners.
Participants were asked to complete a questionnaire about their running habits, and researchers kept track of those who died during the study period.
The researchers discovered that people who didn't run had a life expectancy three years less than that of runners. Running was linked to a 30 percent lower risk of death from any cause and a 45 percent lower risk of death from heart disease or stroke, compared to no running.
Even less-avid runners received significant benefits. Running a minimum 30 minutes to 59 minutes each week -- which equates to just 5 to 10 minutes a day -- was associated with a 28 percent lower overall risk of death and a 58 percent reduced risk of death from heart disease, compared with no running.
"The mortality [death] benefits in runners were similar across running time, distance, frequency, amount and speed," Lee said. The benefits held firm even after the researchers took into account for factors such as weight, smoking, drinking or health problems.
However, runners need to keep at it. Persistent runners -- those who had been running regularly for an average of six years -- had the greatest benefit, the study authors found.
Improved heart and lung function appears to be key to running's health benefits, Lee said. Runners in the study had 30 percent better fitness than nonrunners, and their fitness increased with the amount of time they spent running.
Dr. Michael Scott Emery, co-chair of the American College of Cardiology's Sports and Exercise Cardiology Council, found it "a little surprising that 5 or 10 minutes of running had such an impact on health."
Emery, a cardiologist in Greenville, S.C., said, "This shows your biggest bang for the buck is just getting up and doing something, even if it doesn't meet current guidelines. Even a little bit is better than zero."
But, he noted that running does have more potential for injury than walking, including joint problems, ankle sprains, shin splints, back pain and muscle pulls.
People might gain similar benefits from walking the same distance for a longer period of time, he suggested.
"Running has more potential for injury, but walking takes longer," Emery said. "You have to find your own mix, your balance."
Lee agreed that people interested in running should start out slow and build up over time.
"Running is a vigorous-intensity activity, thus it is recommended that inactive people can start walking to reduce injury risk before they start running," he said.
