How To Stop Smoking,
Enjoy A Healthy Life
&
Create
A New Financial Success

PART 1
(1)
Bury your smoking habit before your smoking habit buries you in your funeral
The reasons to stop smoking & to save your life
are gathered in this abbreviated internet seminar
Investment Plan to Become a Millionaire
Study every article in this seminar, click and study every web link and apply the information - then you will have a new life starting, life that maintains your health and builds your new wealth.
Important: This investment information is in addition to your retirement accounts. Do not touch your retirement accounts, do not borrow money from them. Let the IRA's and other related accounts alone and let them grow in wealth as they do. This seminar is to guide you to build financial success using the rest of your income and "found" money and keep your retirement accounts fully separate.
Lets start with new ideas and new techniques.
Decide if a study group would be for you or do you want to study this seminar alone. In your study group you can have some of your friends with the same goal
as you: stop smoking - save life and build new financial wealth. A group can be supportive in staying on the right track until the desired results have come.
More information below how to have your child(ren) involved in this process.
To study this seminar takes more time than it may look at the first view because there are a multitudes of info links you need to study, do not skip anything.
Once more: This abbreviated seminar will bring the results when you do your share: study every line, every link and apply the info in your daily life.
This seminar also guides you to start investing the money you used to smoke and blow into the air. Your investment goal is to become a millionaire and even a multi-millionaire. Anyone working and having a steady income can do it.
And anyone retired but having some capital to start with can do it.
First open a new bank account for the purpose of monthly depositing the amount of money you used to smoke and any additional you can afford. When the account balance is big enough you start investing it. You can start with a few hundreds or with a few thousands - negotiate with your investment counselor (how to find one, info below).
One good principle is to diversify your investments, meaning: diversifying is a risk management technique that mixes a wide variety of different investments within the portfolio (portfolio = a range of investments). The rationale behind this technique contends (= to state, to argue) that a portfolio of different kinds of investments will, on average, yield a higher return and pose a lower risk than any individual investment found in the portfolio.
As stated above, you can start with a few hundreds or a few thousands. Meanwhile, when your bank account balance is growing monthly, you will apply the information given in this article, start finding an investment counselor or investment system suitable for your needs and study and make all plans how you will build your investments to become a millionaire. Until you are a millionaire re-invest the interest income to get faster results. When you become a millionaire, keep investing more - it is a continuous process for the rest of your life. Never use the capital for anything else but re-investing it. Because you have a steady income from your work until you retire there is no need to touch your investment capital or the interests earned. Then you will become financially independent and life will become more enjoyable.
To find additional investment capital, study your lifestyle and analyze where you can spend less cash and invest that found money. Everyone can dig up more cash by spending less. List different categories for what you buy and spend and follow your spending weekly & monthly. Practice simple bookkeeping for your expenses and stuff buying.
Is it really a must to buy a $2 - $5 coffee when you can have it home made for 10 cents? Carry a thermos bottle. Is it really a must to buy expensive fashion labeled clothing because the same quality clothing is available for a fraction of a price. Find stores with much lower prices - search the web. In a supermarket buy plenty when some item is on sale and stack up. Often the store brands are the same products as the more expensive products labeled with the brand name.
Start preparing your daily food in your own kitchen. That's healthier for you and for your family and will save plenty - more to invest. Buy the ingredients in your local supermarket. Buy "manager's specials as much as you can - saves plenty. As needed, have a 2nd or a 3rd refrigerator (labeled with 'energy saver') - they do not cost so much nowadays.
Finally for your retirement you, as a (multi-)millionaire, can live only using the interest and your capital is safe bringing income forever.
When you now start your investor career, it would be a good idea, actually a must, (if you are employed) to ask your HR department to direct-deposit monthly the amount you want to transfer to your investment bank account. Then it becomes automatic and easier for you. That system is also called "The Automatic Millionaire". There is a good book with that title - "The Automatic Millionaire", buy it, study it, use it and this seminar as your investment bible and apply all information - Amazon has the book. Notice: there are several books by the same author with that main title and every book has their own sub-title. Buy first the basic book that guides how to start investing monthly. Be careful that you study the correct book. Visit a local bookstore to see the differences before you either order it from Amazon or buy it in the local bookstore. One of the keys to investment success is to make it "automatic" until you learn to control your own behavior and invest your money regularly. And even then still have it as automatic.
Quotation "We are what we repeatedly do - Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit" (Aristotle)
Copy the article title on the next line (= "Easy...) and search the web with that title & study the article "Easy ways to put more money into your pocket" - study that and compare with some other similar articles that are listed there. You may get a few ideas for your additional found-money building.
Even though you would start investing small but you do it regularly and step-by step add in the monthly investment amounts the results will follow.
Would you rather be a healthy millionaire than a miserably sick smoker?
Your choice. The key is to study every link, every word in this seminar and apply the information in your daily life. Invest all money you save as a non-smoker & add to it what you can afford - it grows. Every million dollars starts from one penny - a fact.
Find a reliable, low-fee or a no-fee investment system (as e.g. "Betterment" - search the web and compare different options).
Notice also: there are two types of investment counselors (they both have a fee): (1) the ones who invest your money the way they want (with your permission) and (2) those who are Certified Financial Advisors - CFA- these guys are more "advanced in their training" and they have to (= must) guide you to invest what is best for YOU and they may charge you only based on the results you get (often 15 % or any other % you agree together). Search the web for the difference between these two counselor/advisor groups. Study widely the web info before you call or meet any financial counselors in order to master the info they tell and to be capable of spotting the possible "rotten eggs" to avoid losses.
Then there are systems that give free physical classroom training to start investing - it is a good idea to go to a few of them and see what they teach and then compare the info. When the free training is in the old-fashioned classroom you have easier time to ask possible questions.
Be careful - do NOT give money to the first one(s) you meet. If available (depending where you live) take several free trainings (with your child(ren) if the children are allowed to participate - negotiate - tell that your child(ren) is/are starting to invest also on his/her own). About the children: the children do what they see their parent(s) doing not what the parents tell them to do.
If you have children guide them to start investing in the same manner as you do. First you open for each child their own bank account and they save there weekly,
bi-weekly or monthly at 15 - 50 % of their allowance money and of any other money they make. Have your child(ren) with you in every step so they will learn how everything is done. Teach these principles to your child(ren) as early as they can understand (about 5+ & up) - then they will learn the investment techniques for their adult years - and they will be thankful forever. Do not be surprised that they would have a million dollars before they leave their childhood nest. Teaching all these investment techniques to your offspring early is one of the best gifts you can give to your child(ren). When the child(ren)'s account(s) has/have enough balance guide them to invest their money in the same way as you do. Agree with your investment counselor that he/she will accept your child(ren) as his/her client(s) also.
It is important that you teach the investment principles to you child(ren) as early as they can understand it (as said: 5+ and up) - that is one of the best gifts you can give them for life. They will then become millionaires and will know how to become and stay as a (multi-)millionaire. That's contrary to most lotto winners who get millions - most of them are broke in 1 - 3 years because they have no clue how to invest and live on interest only. Many of them think "investing is not for them" and many of them hardly can spell the word "invest(ment)" (because they had not learned it before). As an old habit their image of self-worth has been low and they cannot see themselves staying as a (multi-)millionaire. They think it is only for the billionaires like Mike Bloomberg or Bill Gates and they do not realize that these individuals built their multi-billion level fortune starting from -0- as a poor youngster. In America everything is possible - when you just have the desire to learn what & how. If you live in a poor country and can have some capital to start you can always distance-start your investment career in the U.S. or in any of the European countries and still live in your birth country. Study the internet and as needed contact STAF, Inc. for guidance.
Everyone who has a reasonable, steady income, can become a multi-millionaire especially if they start in their 20's (or even earlier) but also if they start later on in their lives (then only more drastic actions must be taken to get the results). Even the individuals earning the minimum salary can become
(multi-)millionaires with these same principles.

Also, towards the end of this seminar, in section 6, are links to the most recent science news relating to the e-cigarettes made in China - dangerously toxic for the humans, yet China is worldwide among the biggest exporters of e-cigarettes.
Serious warning:
The poisons in the Chinese e-cigarettes
(like in many other Chinese products)
can make you sick or even kill you or your family
The same warning could fit almost any other product made in China.
The Chinese system of safety regulations overall is badly broken.
In addition, the regulations are fully missing in some industries.
STAF, Inc. has another blog article giving details about the present trend when more and more U.S. and other companies worldwide are leaving China because China does not play by the mutually agreed rules.
(That article is in this website's blog.)
Throughout this seminar, several other recent article links have been added relating to this topic. It is important to study every article when the links are provided - you and everyone needs the latest information.

In addition to the Stop Smoking - Save Life seminars
STAF, Inc. has developed other
important seminars for your organization
These seminars will have the same benefits and savings for the employer as listed next above in # (1) seminar Stop Smoking-Save Life seminar related information
The # (2) seminar next below, Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition is a seminar EVERY employee in your organization needs, so does every employer need.
The # (3) seminar introduced next after the Seminar # (2)
Seminar # (2)
Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition Seminar
STAF, Inc. has developed a new
Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition Program
meant for the U.S. gov. in the new health care legislation as the model of a natural, healthy eating plan that will maintain health, restore lost health due to wrong, unhealthy nutrition and guide how to save in your daily, weekly & monthly food expenses. It is believed that about 90 % or all sicknesses are caused by an unhealthy lifestyle and wrong nutrition. E.g. fast-food is not food it is "bad food" or "no-food". We humans (as do our pets) need to eat food that is natural and not added with chemicals and not processed.
The Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition seminar will reveal all secrets how to maintain & keep good health, how to avoid and turn away sickness, what foods to eat, and trains in every aspect how to have a top-quality life without sickness & suffering. The program is at the same an automatic weight loss program, nothing extra to buy, nothing additional to do, just follow the easy food preparing & food combination and eating instructions the program gives.
This is the most important break-through program to have a healthy lifestyle and enjoy correct nutrition and how to cover the food expenses by using much less money than before. The lead author of the new program, Dr. Christian, followed 3 years the program to study the expenses:
the cost: only $95 per each month for all food and all nutrients in a correct combination the human body needs. That's big savings, because most people use many times more money monthly and most likely do not even get all nutrients in their much more expensive food the body needs to maintain health. This STAF Plan is the most economical plan existing and still is nutritionally perfectly-balanced. The program guides to wisely invest each month the saved money with the goal of becoming a millionaire. STAF, Inc. helps you to find a reliable investment company - you decide whom you accept and who is best for your needs.
The Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition program is for the whole family.
The benefits for the employer are
(1) big savings in health care costs, (2) less absenteeism, (3) higher productivity, (4) happier employees with a higher loyalty level when they see that the employer cares for their quality of life.
It all adds up to much higher success to everyone at home and in the workplace.
Additional information about this new Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition program in this blog article in PART 4
Seminar # 3
The 3rd seminar every organization can greatly benefit financially from when providing the seminar to all of their employees is the family success topic:
(1) how to create and maintain a marriage with heavenly happiness,
(2) how to raise successful children and
(3) how to develop financial success in a (multi-)million scale for the family.
This seminar is fit for everyone, including for unmarried employees because the same principles are the principles for any successful life and effective human communication. In addition, most unmarried employees either get married or start a partnership family union and sooner or later will need the information how to handle the relationship peacefully and how to raise children successfully.
When the marriage and family life is a mess it lowers the quality of work and creates financial losses to the employer. The fact is that MOST families are not functioning as well as they could. It is because the "family science" is not taught systematically to every student in our school system. STAF, Inc. is working on to get the "family science" into our school curriculum. When the family is functioning well the employee's work quality goes up and everyone wins including the employer.

Opinion from the public - a brilliant statement:
(Quote)
"Let's pretend cigarettes would be something new, introduced now. A product filled with more than 400 toxins *) that allows you to suck smoke directly into your lungs and increases your risk of getting cancer x-fold, a product that makes you die earlier and a social outcast, impacts on the health of everyone that is forced to inhale what smoke you exhale - from children to the elderly, a product that makes you addicted, costs you an arm and a leg, gives you bad breath, yellowy fingers and stinky clothes.
I sometimes wonder how many would take up this "new product" today. It's your right, it is legal, but I still don't get it. Hats off to smokers who find the mettle to quit."
mettle = strength, vigor, spirit
*) Actually there are many more toxins in the cigarettes than 400 as quoted in the opinion above from the public:

E-cigarettes threaten to addict next generation of smokers

Common sense tells that e-cigarettes are a new hazard to the human health.
Before we go too far, it would be best to fully stop the industry effort to make money on addiction problems. We all will pay the price. Our already high sickness care costs will go higher and we all are forced to pay for other people's wrong choices.
If someone wants to commit a suicide by inhaling poison don't go to your neighbor's wallet to pay for your sickness care.
What sense does it make that we allow poison to be sold?
Research shows already now that the "e-poison" will lead to using the old-fashioned cigarettes and possibly also other killer drugs.
Inhaling ingredients not meant for our breathing system can only be harmful.
No one can deny that fact.
With serious concerns on this new poisonous trend,

While much is still unknown about the rapidly growing electronic cigarette industry,
e-cigarettes are dangerous because they target young people, can keep people hooked on nicotine, and threaten to “re-normalize” tobacco use, according to the American Heart Association’s first policy statement on these products.
The American Heart Association – which over the years has actively advocated against tobacco use because of its devastating effects on health – released its position and recommendations Monday, September 9, 2014, based on an analysis of the limited scientific research currently available on e-cigarettes.
The battery-powered e-cigarettes that contain nicotine are tobacco products and should be subject to all laws that apply to these products, according to recommendations in the policy statement. The association also calls for strong new regulations to prevent access, sales and marketing of e-cigarettes to youth, and for more research into the product’s health impact.
“Over the last 50 years, 20 million Americans died because of tobacco.
Worldwide hundreds of millions of people have died while the tobacco industry has made trillions in profits.
We are fiercely committed to preventing the tobacco industry from addicting another generation of smokers,” said Nancy Brown, CEO of the American Heart Association. “Recent studies raise concerns that e-cigarettes may be a gateway to traditional tobacco products for the nation’s youth, and could renormalize smoking in our society.”
The policy statement examines several aspects of e-cigarettes, including some analysis that might initially seem surprising. For example, currently available data suggests that
e-cigarettes appear to be less harmful than traditional cigarettes. And in some cases the product could help people quit smoking.
However, those observations are based on a limited pool of medical research without long-term results, experts warn.
“People need to know that e-cigarettes are unregulated and there are many variables that we don’t know about them,” said Aruni Bhatnagar, Ph.D., a professor of medicine at the University of Louisville in Kentucky who led the 10 researchers and physicians who wrote the policy statement.
click: Aruni Bhatnagar, Ph.D. — University of Louisville
Click: Cigarettes are the leading preventable cause of death, killing nearly half a million Americans a year and leaving 16 million others suffering from smoking-related illness.
Yet, e-cigarettes, with their aggressive and unregulated marketing efforts, could erode some people’s beliefs in the harmful effects of smoking, the paper’s authors warned.
“Nicotine is a dangerous and highly addictive chemical no matter what form it takes – conventional cigarettes or some other tobacco product,” said American Heart Association President Elliott Antman, M.D. “Every life that has been lost to tobacco addiction could have been prevented. We must protect future generations from any potential smokescreens in the tobacco product landscape that will cause us to lose precious ground in the fight to make our nation 100 percent tobacco-free.
Manufacturers present e-cigarettes as “cool and sexy and acceptable, which is a problem because you’re increasing addiction,” Bhatnagar said.
Companies also use terms like “vaping” rather than smoking to gain public acceptance and try to break the connection between e-cigarettes and traditional, “combustible” cigarettes, he added.
E-cigarettes were created in China and first sold in 2003. Since then sales have rapidly increased, with more than 465 brands and 7,760 flavors now available online and in retail outlets. By 2017, sales margins for e-cigarettes are expected to increase to about $10 billion and surpass margins for conventional cigarettes.
Regulation and research have scrambled to keep pace with that growth.
In April the Food and Drug Administration proposed rules banning the sale of e-cigarettes to people under the age of 18 and subjecting the $2 billion industry to federal regulation for the first time. Such rules had been long sought by the AHA and other organizations.
The FDA’s proposal click: fell short of what was hoped for by the AHA and other public health advocates. They believe e-cigarettes should be regulated under the same laws as other tobacco products and prohibited from being marketed or sold to young people. The proposal, they said, did not go far enough in limiting online sales, advertising and flavored products, all tactics used to make e-cigarettes appealing to young people.
Liquid nicotine used by e-cigarettes comes in many flavors like bubble gum, caramel, chocolate, fruit and mint, all attractive to young people, and many brands use colorful, candy-like packaging.
“That’s an unfortunate trend, to make them palatable and attractive to children,” said Bhatnagar.
Currently, e-cigarettes are advertised online, on television, radio and in print media — even though broadcast ads for combustible cigarettes have been banned since 1971. Studies show that between 2011 and 2013, TV ads for e-cigarettes have reached 24 million youths.
A click: survey of students in grades 6 through 12 found that by 2012, 1.78 million high school and middle school students in the U.S. had tried e-cigarettes, and 76. 3 percent of e-cigarette users said they also smoked conventional cigarettes.
As for helping people quit smoking, the usefulness of e-cigarettes as an aid is not fully understood. And the use of e-cigarettes in this way is best considered with caution and in consultation with a healthcare provider, and deadlines for quitting e-cigarettes is recommended.
“If someone refuses to quit, we’re not opposed to them switching from conventional to e-cigarettes,” Bhatnagar said. “Don’t use them indefinitely. Set a quit date for quitting conventional, e-cigarettes and everything else. We don’t think that will be the long-term or useful way to look at it because e-cigarettes may continue and fuel nicotine addiction. Nicotine is not innocuous — it’s known to be harmful and have cardiovascular effects.”
Studies show that nicotine click: causes a short-term increase in blood pressure, heart rate and blood flow from the heart. It also causes the arteries to narrow.
“We consider exposure to nicotine as part of smoking. We don’t want separate definitions for combustible and e-cigarettes,” he said.
Although experts expect that exhaled e-cigarette vapor may be less toxic than secondhand smoke from combustible cigarettes, the devices still expose people to other potentially toxic chemicals, Bhatnagar said.
“There’s some indication that when people smoke e-cigarettes that others may be exposed to nicotine,” he said.
In addition, because e-cigarettes aren’t regulated, manufacturers may not disclose all the ingredients used by the device or nicotine liquid, so there’s no way to know the effect of those ingredients, Bhatnagar said.
Much more research is needed, according to the policy statement. But that research has been hampered by the constantly changing design of e-cigarettes and the use of different additives.
“We must increase the pace of research and understand the full range of health consequences before we allow this Trojan horse of nicotine back into society,” Brown said.
Since the first Surgeon General’s report on the dangers of tobacco use 50 years ago, the AHA and other public health organizations have advocated against tobacco products. The unregulated use of e-cigarettes could erode decades of work creating smoking cessation and smoke-free laws, the report states.

Smoking: Do you really know the risks?
You probably know about the relationship between smoking and lung cancer, but did you know smoking is also linked to
(1) heart disease,
(2) stroke and
(3) other chronic lung diseases
Smoking can also
(4) increase your risk for cancer of the bladder, throat and mouth, kidneys, cervix and pancreas.
(5) and; risk of getting other sicknesses - a long list of them
How long is the list? - See next below
IF YOU ARE A SMOKER
go to Amazon.com and look at the book "Human Diseases" - 624 pages, ISBN#1285065921. (If you are not a smoker, study anyway this information, perhaps you could guide some of your friends to help themselves.)
Most of the sicknesses described in that book you can get (1) by smoking, (2) by drug use (including the innocent sounding marijuana) and (3) by alcohol abuse, (4) by other substance abuse - they are all slow suicidal activities.
You know that and you still smoke, or use other drugs or abuse alcohol.
If you smoke or use drugs maybe you should study a book of mental sicknesses because you are knowingly harming your own body and your health and you know your suicidal activities will lead to an early death.
The American Psychiatric Association prepared and published the "Diagnostic & Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders -DSM-5" -
ISBN 9780890425558 - (DSM refers to the title of the manual)
If you smoke, use drugs, have made your body overweight or obese by overeating, then you can find your behavior described in that DSM-5 book.
Does that make you happy or proud about your choices?
You yourself are knowingly inviting any sickness that will kill you slowly and before the early death will give you relief you will suffer in pain year after year and moment after moment.
Is that the life you want?
When you smoke that is the life you will get (or use other drugs or abuse alcohol or overeat or eat unhealthy food like fast-food = bad-food).
Can it be called life when it is a slow death?
Another suicidal activity in about 75 % of the U.S. population and with the same trend worldwide is overeating or knowingly eating junk food even though you know that you are harming your health.
If you are one of these 75 % by overeating or eating unhealthy food (= non-food) you knowingly make your body overweight or obese - all that leading to any sickness. It is like playing Russian Roulette (look at the internet the meaning of Russian Roulette).
Unhealthy food includes all fast-food (= bad-food) or by otherwise eating unhealthy food not fit for the human body as e.g. all fast-foods (= bad-food) are.
Only food made in your own kitchen

Thinking about quitting? Look at the facts!
Why you should quit?
- Smoking is the most preventable cause of death in the United States.
- Smoking causes more than one in five deaths in America.
- 90 percent of lung cancer in men is directly related to smoking and 80 percent of lung cancer in women is caused by cigarettes.
- About 23 percent of adult men and about 18 percent of adult women smoke.
- The highest percentage of people who smoke are between the ages of 25 and 44.
- According to the American Heart Association, most adult smokers started smoking when they were preteens or teenagers. Unfortunately, many young people don’t fully understand the dangers of smoking. That's because the school system is not providing enough proper information on these topics. That's wrong and makes no sense because the school is meant to prepare the students for a successful life.
- About 60 percent of American children ages 4-11 are exposed to secondhand smoke at home - research shows the 2nd hand smoke has the same sickness causing elements, perhaps even more dangerous than what the smoker is inhaling.
- On average, smokers die 13 to 14 years earlier than nonsmokers.
- Since 1965, more than 45 percent of adults who have ever smoked have quit.
- You can be one of the millions of people who successfully quit every year.
What makes cigarettes so toxic and dangerous?
There are 4,000 chemical components found in cigarettes and at least 250 of them are harmful to human health, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Here are a few examples:
- 1,3-Butadine is a chemical used to manufacture rubber. According to the CDC, “it may increase risk of cancer in the stomach, blood and lymphatic system.”
- Acrolein is a gas linked to lung cancer. It inhibits DNA repair and can destroy the lining in the lungs that protects you from lung disease.
- Arsenic is used to preserve wood. In humans, it can cause heart disease and cancer.
- Benzene is used to manufacture other chemicals. It can cause cancer, particularly leukemia, in humans.
- Cadmium is a metal used to make batteries. Cadmium can interfere with the repair of damaged DNA, as well as damage the kidneys and the lining of the arteries.
- Chromium VI is used to make alloy metals, paint and dyes. It has been proven to be linked to lung cancer.
- Formaldehyde is a chemical used to kill bacteria and preserve human and animal remains. It’s a known cause of cancer, one of the main substances linked to chronic lung disease and a very toxic ingredient in secondhand smoke.
- Polonium-210 is a radioactive element inhaled directly into the airway. Some studies show that people who smoke a pack-and-a-half of cigarettes a day are receiving the same radiation they’d get from 300-plus X-rays per year!
- Tar is solid, inhaled chemicals linked with an increased risk for cancer. It also leaves a sticky, brown residue on your lungs, teeth and fingernails.
Carbon monoxide & nicotine: A dangerous duo
Carbon monoxide is a harmful gas you inhale when you smoke. Once in your lungs, it’s transferred to your bloodstream. Carbon monoxide decreases the amount of oxygen that is carried in the red blood cells. It also increases the amount of cholesterol that is deposited into the inner lining of the arteries which, over time, can cause the arteries to harden.
This leads to heart disease, artery disease and possibly heart attack.
Nicotine is a dangerous and highly addictive chemical. It can cause an increase in blood pressure, heart rate, flow of blood to the heart and a narrowing of the arteries (vessels that carry blood). Nicotine may also contribute to the hardening of the arterial walls, which in turn, may lead to a click: heart attack. This chemical can stay in your body for six to eight hours depending on how often you smoke. Also, as with most addictive substances, there are some side effects of withdrawal.

Second-Hand Smoke
Smokers aren’t the only ones affected by tobacco smoke. Secondhand smoke is a serious health hazard for nonsmokers, especially children. Nonsmokers who have high blood pressure or high blood cholesterol have an even greater risk of developing heart diseases when they’re exposed to secondhand smoke.
Environmental tobacco smoke causes about 46,000 heart disease deaths and 3,400 lung cancer deaths. Studies show that the risk of developing heart disease is about 25-30 percent higher among people exposed to environmental tobacco smoke at home or work. Secondhand smoke promotes illness, too. Children of smokers have many more respiratory infections than do children of nonsmokers. Nonsmoking women exposed to tobacco smoke are also more likely to have low-birthweight babies. Excerpted and adapted from "When Risk Factors Unite," appearing in the Stroke Connection Magazine January/February 2005 (Science update May 2008)
These are just a few of the dangerous chemicals found in cigarettes; there are many more. But you do not have to spend the rest of your life giving in to your addiction!
Thousands of people kick the habit every year, and you can be one of them.
It may not be easy, but you can do it!
On the other hand, it will be easy when you realize the dangerous facts and just decide to save your life and avoid suffering

"To stay healthy you need to eat what your body wants, not what you want"
(Dr. Christian, STAF, Inc.)
STAF, Inc. has developed a new Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition Program for the U.S. government's & for every nation's use worldwide.
Totally it took 26 years to develop, first 19 years worldwide research & 7 years to modify it for everyone's needs. This program covers, for the first time ever, all necessary elements to get the lasting results in all family related challenges & in our rampant obesity, overweight & sickness levels. Its nutritional program leading to health & to a longer life is at the same time an automatic weight loss program: nothing to buy, no calories to count, no unreasonable portion control - eat as needed; just follow the easy instructions.
The best news is this: the correct, health-restoring & health-maintaining food with all necessary daily nutrients in the correct combination
costs ONLY about $95 per one (adult) person monthly.
The new STAF Plan guides you to buy your food ingredients in your local supermarket & prepare your food in your own kitchen based on the new, delicious recipes.
The bigger the family, the less $ per/person. Only a plan everyone can afford is a solution to the world's health challenges.
Your food expenses, time being, are probably many times more than in this new STAF, Inc.'s results bringing program. Everyone can afford this amazing program whether one works on the minimum salary or lives on the social security or similar.
The saved money this new STAF, Inc. program guides you to place in safe investments - STAF, Inc. endorses only a few investment adviser companies as reliable. With the saved money your family can create substantial wealth within time. Also a millionaire?
STAF, Inc.has 10 private services given a unique lifetime result-guarantee with only a one-time fee - see website.
(1) The STAF Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition Plan is
the most economical plan
in the U.S. and worldwide (only about $95 a month per one adult).
Yet, the STAF Plan provides all nutrients any human needs in a correct, healthy, delicious manner and in fully correct proportions.
A healthy lifestyle & correct nutrition plan is good only if everyone working or getting government benefits can afford the plan. Most diet plans are so costly that those people who most need a result-bringing plan cannot afford following the plan. What good is that? - Everyone working or getting the government benefits will and CAN afford following The STAF Plan because it will cost the least, much less than any other plan.
(2) Not only is the STAF Plan the most affordable but the STAF Plan has financial benefits embedded in its guidance.
In most families the food costs are (much) more than the new STAF Plan demands. The plan will guide to invest the saved money thus leading to a improved family economy - potentially also a millionaire level (not a joke, a fact).
No other plan does that. In STAF, Inc.'s website additional information relating to the investment program.)
(3) In addition to providing all healthy lifestyle & correct nutrition guidance the
STAF PLAN covers, for the first time ever, all necessary elements in strengthening the marriage & other family ties, in successful child raising, in teen age challenges and in other happy family related topics.
The STAF Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition program covers all factors needed for a healthy & a happy family life.
The new STAF Healthy Lifestyle & Correct Nutrition program will,
in a televised D.C. event, be introduced nation/worldwide &
to The W.H., The President, The U.S. Congress & Senate.
STAF, Inc.'s presence is needed in D.C. in the U.S. Congress (House & Senate).
STAF, Inc.'s founding President is planning (1) to seek a seat in D.C. Congress/Senate to provide the necessary information to the D.C. lawmakers and (2) to establish a new federal Healthy Lifestyle & Family Success office & to be named its first federal director. New legislation & nationwide training for all these matters are needed in a results-bringing manner.

I sometimes wonder how many would take up this "new product" today. It's your right, it is legal, but I still don't get it. Hats off to smokers who find the mettle to quit."

Smoking’s Toll on Health Is Even Worse
Than Previously Thought,
a Study Finds
However bad you thought smoking was, it’s even worse.
Researchers have found that smoking is linked to significantly increased risks of infection, kidney disease, intestinal disease, and heart and lung ailments not previously attributed to tobacco.

However bad you thought smoking was, it’s even worse.
A new study adds at least five diseases and 60,000 deaths a year to the toll taken by tobacco in the United States. Before the study, smoking was already blamed for nearly half a million deaths a year in this country from 21 diseases, including 12 types of cancer.
The new findings are based on health data from nearly a million people who were followed for 10 years. In addition to the well-known hazards of lung cancer, artery disease, heart attacks, chronic lung disease and stroke, the researchers found that smoking was linked to significantly increased risks of infection, kidney disease, intestinal disease caused by inadequate blood flow, and heart and lung ailments not previously attributed to tobacco.
Even though people are already barraged with messages about the dangers of smoking, researchers say it is important to let the public know that there is yet more bad news.
“The smoking epidemic is still ongoing, and there is a need to evaluate how smoking is hurting us as a society, to support clinicians and policy making in public health,” said Brian D. Carter, an epidemiologist at the American Cancer Society and the first author of an article about the study, which appears in The New England Journal of Medicine. “It’s not a done story.”
In an editorial accompanying the article, Dr. Graham A. Colditz, from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, said the new findings showed that officials in the United States had substantially underestimated the effect smoking has on public health. He said smokers, particularly those who depend on Medicaid, had not been receiving enough help to quit.
About 42 million Americans smoke — 15 percent of women and 21 percent of men — according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Research has shown that their death rates are two to three times higher than those of people who have never smoked, and that on average, they die more than a decade before nonsmokers. Smokers are more than 20 times as likely as nonsmokers to die of lung cancer. Poor people and those with less formal education are the most likely to smoke.
Mr. Carter said he had been inspired to dig deeper into the causes of death in smokers after taking an initial look at data from five large health surveys being conducted by other researchers. The participants were 421,378 men and 532,651 women 55 and older, including nearly 89,000 current smokers.
As expected, death rates were higher among the smokers. But diseases known to be caused by tobacco accounted for only 83 percent of the excess deaths in people who smoked.
“I thought, ‘Wow, that’s really low,’ ” Mr. Carter said. “We have this huge cohort. Let’s get into the weeds, cast a wide net and see what is killing smokers that we don’t already know.”
The research was paid for by the American Cancer Society, and Mr. Carter worked with scientists from four universities and the National Cancer Institute.
The study was observational, meaning that it looked at people’s habits, like smoking, and noted statistical correlations between their behavior and their health. Correlation does not prove a cause-and-effect relationship, so this kind of research is not considered as strong as experiments in which participants are assigned at random to treatments or placebos and then compared. But people cannot ethically be instructed to smoke for a study, so a lot of the data on smoking’s effects on people comes from observational studies.
Analyzing deaths among the participants from 2000 to 2011, the researchers found that, compared with people who had never smoked, smokers were about twice as likely to die from infections, kidney disease, respiratory ailments not previously linked to tobacco, and hypertensive heart disease, in which high blood pressure leads to heart failure. Smokers were also six times more likely to die from a rare illness caused by insufficient blood flow to the intestines.
Mr. Carter said he had confidence in the findings because, biologically, it made sense that those conditions were related to tobacco. Smoking can weaken the immune system, increasing the risk of infection, he said. It is also known to cause diabetes, high blood pressure and artery disease, all of which can lead to kidney problems. Artery disease can also choke off the blood supply to the intestines. Lung damage from smoke, combined with increased vulnerability to infection, can lead to multiple respiratory illnesses.
Two other observations supported the findings, he said. One was that the more heavily a person smoked, the greater the added risks. The second was that among former smokers, the risks diminished over time. In general, such effects, known as a dose response, suggest that an observed correlation is more than a coincidence.
The study also found small increases in the risks of breast and prostate cancer among smokers. Mr. Carter said those findings were not as strong as the others, adding that additional research could help determine whether there were biological mechanisms that would support a connection.
A 2014 report by the surgeon general’s office said the evidence for a causal connection between smoking and breast cancer was “suggestive but not sufficient.” The same report found no evidence that smoking caused prostate cancer, but it noted that in men who did have prostate cancer, smoking seemed to worsen the outcome.
The diseases that had previously been established by the surgeon general as caused by smoking were cancers of the esophagus, stomach, colon, liver, pancreas, larynx, lung, bladder, kidney, cervix, lip and oral cavity; acute myeloid leukemia; diabetes; heart disease; stroke; atherosclerosis; aortic aneurysm; other artery diseases; chronic lung disease; pneumonia; influenza; and tuberculosis.

Smoking Thins the Brain
Smoking appears to accelerate the thinning of the cortex.
This thinning is believed to contribute to cognitive decline.
Cognitive impairment is when a person has trouble remembering, learning new things, concentrating, or making decisions that affect their everyday life. Cognitive impairment ranges from mild to severe.
Cortex =the outer layer of the cerebrum (the cerebral cortex ), composed of folded gray matter and playing an important role in consciousness.

Smoking tobacco is the leading cause of preventable death, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. Now there’s evidence of another negative side affect: thinning of the very important cortex regions of the brain.
This thinning was recently identified by an international team of researchers from the Montreal Neurological Institute at McGill University and the University of Edinburgh.
Cortex thinning is a part of aging, and smoking appears to accelerate that process. This thinning is believed to contribute to elderly cognitive decline.
“We found that current and ex-smokers had, at age 73, many areas of thinner brain cortex than those that never smoked. Subjects who stopped smoking seem to partially recover their cortical thickness for each year without smoking,” said Dr. Sherif Karama, assistant professor of psychiatry at McGill University, in a Click: press release.
What’s surprising is the slow recovery process for former heavy smokers. Even after 25 years of not smoking, their brains were still thinner than non-smokers.
“Smokers should be informed that cigarettes could hasten the thinning of the brain’s cortex, which could lead to cognitive deterioration. Cortical thinning seems to persist for many years after someone stops smoking,” says Dr. Karama.
